I’ve spent a lot of time recently considering the defining moments in my life. These are the moments I feel change every subsequent event thereafter. First love, parents divorce, my divorce, all defining moments.
I’m writing my story. It’s a journey to becoming if you will. And it will be full of these defining moments.
Self awareness is a very important part of healing, of transformation and change. We can’t move forward if we aren’t self aware.
I’m not talking about self-awareness that shows up as arrogance or conceitedness or self-centered. It’s not the narcissist here that I’m referring to as self-aware.
Self aware is being in tune with your own DNA. It’s the awareness of who you really are, what you are made of, and your own strengths and weaknessees.
In order to discover your defining moments, and to be aware of them as they appear, becoming self aware is a necessity.
Start listening to your mind, body and spirit. There are clues and signals everywhere you look and you will tell you what’s important, if you listen.
I believe I’ve been able to create a life of peace and joy in spite of many negative events in my history. Each of these events, however, served a purpose as they all became defining moments.
In this blog, and hopefully one day book, you are invited in to my personal stories and defining moments and hopefully you will be inspired and empowered to find your own defining moments.
